Best For The World

Best For The World

Best For The World

Recently, we were honored as one of the Best For the World by the B Lab.

Each year, the B Lab recognizes Certified B Corporations for their outstanding positive impact. As a part of this community, SpringFour is using business as a force for good.

And in doing so, we have a lot of happy customers.

As One of the Best For the World in the Customer category, we have been recognized as a company that “aims to improve the lives of their customers through the use of their product or service.”

To our team here at SpringFour, this honor means a lot. It’s honors what we strive to do every day at SpringFour—improve people’s lives through connections to important services, tools, and products that can help see them through a financial challenge and help them to better days. And this has been our goal since our company was founded back in 2005.

In order to be recognized in the Best for the World: Customers List for 2018, A Certified B Corporations needs to have a B Impact Assessment score in the top 10 percent of the entire global community. This assessment area measures the impact a company has on its customers by focusing on whether a company sells products or services that promote public benefit and if those products/services are targeted towards assisting underserved populations.

We are proud of our work, our team, and the commitment we have shown since day one to create access and pathways for people to get the help they need and deserve to live a financially healthy life. It’s an honor to have made this list.

We chose to undergo the rigorous process of becoming a Certified B Corporation because we want everyone we do business with to understand that at SpringFour, impact is what drives us each and every day. We want to hold ourselves to a higher degree of accountability and social impact. We believe our Certified B status tells our customers, partners, and other stakeholders that we are more than a financial technology company, that we are committed to our mission of connecting consumers to the local financial resources that they need and deserve.

We are especially pleased to learn that two of our customers, Beneficial State Bank and Sunrise Banks are also joining us on this list for their outstanding work and leadership. We are proud to be in their company.

You can find the complete list of all Certified B Corporations receiving this honor here.

Midwest Women In Tech Awards

Midwest Women In Tech Awards

Midwest Women In Tech Awards

Standing among a room full of women doing great work and supporting each other was inspiring. It was the Women Tech Founders Midwest Women In Tech (MWitT) 2017 Awards night, and we were there because SpringFour’s Co-Founder and CEO, Rochelle Gorey was nominated in the Fintech category (A founder changing the financial services industry through innovation and technology).

The event celebrated Women in Tech, those who have paved the way and bring diversity to an industry that has long had far too few women top players. Each of the nominees in 12 different categories were personally nominated and then selected by a panel of judges. The nominees all met the following criteria:

– An individual that demonstrates excellence in tech leadership

– A champion for other women

– A contributor to the community

– An authentic and innovative leader in the tech ecosystem

The event was an amazing reflection of just how many smart, driven, innovative women there are working in tech in the Midwest. Showing this diversity and wealth of talented local women changes the way we think about the tech field. The awards were created to “equalize the image of power in technology and leadership, while creating an army of role models for the next generation. The role models we want for our daughters and their daughters to see.”

Hearing the stories behind these inspirational women makes all of us dream of the future that our daughters can have. Rochelle shows this in the way she leads, her character and her core beliefs in bringing financial health to everyone, and we are glad she is being recognized for it.

We had a great time getting to meet and chat with other women in the field, hearing inspirational stories, and even getting to meet the Mayor.

The organizers of the event wanted everyone to leave the evening feeling “ignited and inspired to change the world.” We did, and we are.

BAI Global Awards Finalist

BAI Global Awards Finalist

BAI Global Awards Finalist

Carol Lucka and Scott Rodeman from U.S. Bank, and Rochelle Gorey from SpringFour are presented with the BAI Global Innovation Finalist recognition from Debbie Bianucci, CEO of BAI.

We recently returned from the BAI Beacon Conference where SpringFour was a finalist for the BAI Global Innovation Awards. Global. Innovation. Award. Let that sink in. We had to.

As a small and scrappy social impact, Fintech Company based in Chicago, being named a finalist was a huge validation and sense of accomplishment for our team at SpringFour. To see SpringFour on the list of finalists for an Award that celebrates companies from around the world doing great and innovative work in the financial services sector was tremendous.

The fact that we we shared this Award with our customer and partner, U.S. Bank, gave even more validation. Together we were recognized for our work in the Breakthrough Collaboration in Financial Services Category. No small feat.

From the beginning, our mission has been to connect people to resources, programs, and tools that can help people achieve better financial health. We understand that when people have difficulty paying their bills, it’s because there is something happening in their financial lives that makes it impossible for them to do so. This understanding guides everything we do at SpringFour and drives us to work hard and to do what we can to help our customers.

When we started SpringFour, no one was really talking about financial health and certainly no other company was building a business focused on directing consumers to local resources that could help them build a better financial life and catch up on past due bills. Today, with our customers, we are making over 1 million referrals each year and the number is growing. And we are excited to see so many companies having conversations about financial health and thinking about how to bring financial health solutions to their customers and/or employees.

Here’s to financial health and the validation that helping consumers pay their bills and stay on track can be worthy of a Global Innovation Award.
